mink cage

hi i have been setting a cage trap down my local river but havent had any sucess i wonderd if any 1 could help tellin me where the best place to put it ? [bANNED TEXT] to bait it with cheers

Half a rabbit as bait has always worked well for me. I placed mine on a bit of wet mud on the waters edge where a mink is likely to pass by.

Try kipper its smoked so dont get manky too fast plus dont attract the flies as bad as meat caught quite a few mink and rats on it down the river

In my experience -the more riper the bait the better for mink .Fresher stuff tends to catch others of the weasel family ,like stoats .Caught one 3 days running on rabbit paunch followed by a mink the next day .
